A banana split is a frozen dessert made from banana covered with, among other things, ice cream, melted chocolate and whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop chocolate ice cream
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 scoop strawberry ice cream
- 2 tablespoons Strawberry Syrup (or strawberry compote)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (or melted chocolate)
- 2 tablespoons pineapple in syrup , cut into fine brunoise
- 3 tablespoons Whipped Cream
- 3 Maraschino cherries
- peanuts (or walnuts or almonds, coarsely chopped)
Instructions
- Peel then cut the banana in half lengthwise.
- Place the banana slices on the sides of a long, shallow dish.
- Arrange the ice cream scoops in a row between the banana slices.
- Place the pineapple on the vanilla ice cream.
- Pour the strawberry syrup (or compote) over the strawberry ice cream.
- Pour the chocolate syrup (or melted chocolate) over the chocolate ice cream.
- Garnish each scoop of ice cream with whipped cream.
- Place three maraschino cherries on top, one above each pile of whipped cream.
- Garnish with peanuts, walnuts or almonds.
- Serve immediately.
