Bananas Foster Baked French Toast

Bananas Foster Baked French Toast blends sliced bananas, brown sugar, warming spices, and a creamy custard soaked into egg bread or challah. The dish bakes until set, yielding a tender, custardy interior with caramelized fruit and pecans if used. Its overnight soaking step allows the bread to absorb the rich, spiced sauce, making for a satisfying brunch centerpiece or special breakfast. The balance of cinnamon and allspice underlines the sweetness naturally present in bananas and brown sugar.
