Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 1/2 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt sea salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce low-sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, pepper, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven. Leave the oven on.
  5. Brush each meatball generously with BBQ sauce and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
