  2. Pour this mixture over the strips of beef and mix well.
  3. Set aside to marinate as you prepare the rest of this fab dish.
MAKE THE STIR-FRY SAUCE
  1. Place the fish sauce (or water) in a medium-sized bowl.

  3. Now, add all the other stir-fry sauce ingredients. Mix well.
STIR-FRY AND FINISH OFF THE DISH
  1. Warm your wok over medium-high heat.

  3. When shimmering, add the shallots and ginger and stir-fry for 1 to minutes, until soft.

  6. Add the stir-fry sauce.
  7. Add the broccoli plus ¼ cup of water.
  8. Stir-fry until the broccoli is bright, and softened (about 5 minutes), the sauce will slightly thicken.
  9. Remove from heat. Taste. Adjust seasonings.
  10. Drizzle sesame oil over and serve immediately with Thai Jasmine rice.

Notes

  • If you prefer very soft broccoli, you can steam the chopped broccoli first, before adding to the wok.  Alternatively, boil the chopped broccoli for about 3 to 5 minutes ahead of time.
