Ingredients
Bulgogi
- 800 g thinly sliced sirloin or tender prime beef cut
- 1 large onion
- 2 stalks green onion
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Marinade
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugat
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 5 tbsp grated red apple gala, pink lady or fuji or use an asian pear
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Instructions
- Mix all marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
- Pat the meat dry with paper towels to remove excess blood.
- Place the meat in the bowl with the marinade and mix well.
- Cover the bowl and marinate preferably overnight.
- Thinly slice the onions, carrots, and green onions.
- Preheat a wok or skillet over medium heat and add cooking oil.
- Sauté the sliced onions until they are soft and translucent
- Add the beef and cook until it starts to brown.
- Add the veggies and stir occasionally until everything is cooked through.
- Stir in the sesame seeds.
- Serve hot.
