Beer Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 12 oz beer
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  2. Sift flour into large mixing bowl. Add salt, baking powder, sugar, and seasonings.
  3. Add beer to mixing bowl, pouring slowly, as it might create a bit of foam.
  4. Stir until ingredients are just combined and dough forms.
  5. Scoop dough into your prepared loaf pan and spread to evenly distribute.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup melted butter on top and bake for 55 minutes.
  7. Check at 50 minutes; remove from oven when bread starts to turn golden brown on top. This may take up to an hour depending on your oven.
