Beer Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beer
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk dijon mustard with the butter.
  2. Whisk in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Whisk in beer, milk, and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add in cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
