Ingredients

  • 1 9- inch unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9″ pie plate with an unbaked pie crust.
  3. Beat the eggs in a large bowl until foamy. Beat in the butter, sugar, and flour until fluffy.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour into the prepared crust and bake for 45-55 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before serving.
