Best Cranberry Sauce

Easy, 4-ingredient Cranberry Sauce has the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. This is the best cranberry sauce recipe! This Cranberry Sauce can be made ahead of time and is perfect to serve alongside turkey on Thanksgiving or on turkey sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Orange * (juice and zest from orange)
  • Cinnamon Stick **

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, cook cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest over medium heat. Add cinnamon stick. One orange squeezed is about 1/4 cup of juice.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
  3. Let cook for 8-10 minutes or until cranberries began to burst and soften.
  4. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and carefully remove cinnamon stick.
  5. Transfer sauce to a serving bowl, cover, and chill.

Notes

  • One orange squeezed gives about 4 Tablespoons of juice. You can substitute 1/4 cup of orange juice.
  • If you don't have a cinnamon stick, you can add 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
