Ingredients

  • 3 avocado ripe
  • ½ yellow onion finely diced, small
  • 2 Roma tomato diced
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro finely chopped, fresh
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeds removed and finely diced
  • 2 garlic minced, cloves
  • 1 lime juiced
  • ½ teaspoon salt sea salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a mixing bowl. 
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork and make it as chunky or smooth as you'd like.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir together. Give it a taste test and add a pinch more salt or lime juice if needed.
  4. Serve the guacamole with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Use fresh limes rather than bottled lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Mexican limes yield about 1 to 2 tablespoons of juice; adjust quantity as needed.
  • Choose large ripe avocados for this recipe; add an extra avocado if only small ones are available.
  • To keep leftover guacamole fresh and green, store in airtight containers with plastic wrap pressed on the surface.
