Best Ever Homemade Chocolate Cupcakes

Rich, moist, & easy to make, these best-ever homemade chocolate cupcakes are sure to please anyone! Cream cheese icing makes them even better!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar white or mild flavored
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups Cream Cheese frosting see note

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Mix wet ingredients together.
  3. Create a well in the dry ingredients and pour the wet ingredients in, mix until just combined. Do not over mix.
  4. Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  5. Adjust oven rack to the middle position and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. A toothpick should come out with a few crumbs on it.
