Ingredients

  • 1 cup tomato sauce (canned)
  • 5 ounce tomato paste (can)
  • ⅓ cup hot water
  • 2 cloves garlic grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of powdered sweetener

Instructions

  1. Add the olive oil to a small saucepan and heat on low. Add in the garlic and sauté for about 10 seconds. Watch it closely and do not let it brown or it will become bitter.
  2. Turn off the heat and add in the remaining ingredients. Whisk until well combined. Remove from the heat and allow to cool before using on pizza or in a pizza bowl.
  3. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze in an airtight container.
