Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground ancho chile pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Either use immediately, or store in a small airtight container until ready to use. Makes enough to season 4 large steaks.
  3. When ready to use, rub the seasoning over all sides of the steaks, and allow them to rest at least 20 minutes before grilling or searing.
