Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk (8 oz.; or any other milk)
  • 3 large Medjool dates , pitted (61 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (2 grams)
  • 1 cup strawberry 6 oz; 167 grams, frozen
  • ice handful

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine the almond milk, dates, and vanilla in a high-speed blender, and blend until the dates are completely broken down. (If you don't have a powerful blender, you may want to soak the dates in the almond milk for 20 minutes to help them soften.)
  2. Add the frozen strawberries and blend again, until they are broken down.
  3. Finally, add the ice and blend once more, until a slushy texture is achieved. Serve right away.

Notes

  • Nutrition information is for the whole batch, and is just an estimate, not a guarantee.
  • If you don't have dates on hand, you can use 1 to 2 tablespoons of maple syrup instead.
