Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces chocolate cake mix such as Betty Crocker Devil's Food
  • 1¼ cups water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 egg large
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (1 can)
  • 14 ounces caramel sauce plus more for garnish
  • 8 ounces whipped topping thawed, such as Cool Whip
  • ½ cup toffee candy chopped

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake in a 9x13-inch pan according to the directions on the cake mix box.
  2. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly over the top of the cake. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the warm cake, making sure to fill the holes.
  5. Cover the cake and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
  6. Once the cake has chilled, spread whipped topping on top and sprinkle with chopped toffee. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce, if desired. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • Storage: Store better than sex cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
