Ingredients
- 15.25 ounces chocolate cake mix such as Betty Crocker Devil's Food
- 1¼ cups water
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (1 can)
- 14 ounces Caramel sauce plus more for garnish
- 8 ounces whipped topping thawed, such as Cool Whip
- ½ cup chopped toffee candy
Instructions
- Bake the chocolate cake in a 9x13-inch pan according to the directions on the cake mix box.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly over the top of the cake. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the warm cake, making sure to fill the holes.
- Cover the cake and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
- Once the cake has chilled, spread whipped topping on top and sprinkle with chopped toffee. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce, if desired. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
