Birria Sliders
These Slow Cooker Birria Sliders are so flavorful and easy!! Perfectly seasoned, tender shredded beef, melty cheese and toppings get piled on soft hawaiian rolls and dipped into that delicious broth! These are always a favorite!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 1 onion chopped, small
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 ounce birria seasoning envelope packet
- 1 cup beef stock
- 12 count hawaiian rolls
- 6 lices Colby jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, or cilantro
- cilantro red onion, lime, jalapeno for topping
Instructions
- To your slow cooker add the stew beef, onion, garlic, birria seasoning packet and beef stock.
- Slow cook on low for 4-6 hours until the stew beef is tender. Shred the beef.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice the rolls in half place in a 9x13 baking dish.
- Add the cheese slices to the bottom half of the rolls.
- Top the cheese with the shredded beef and any toppings you like, cilantro, red onion or jalapenos. Place the top half of the rolls on.
- In a small microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals melt the butter with the garlic salt and parsley.
- Brush the butter on the top of the rolls and bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve with the cooking liquid from the slow cooker for dipping and limes for squeezing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
