Black Forest Cookies
You are going to love these Black Forest Cookies. They have all of the flavors that you know and love about a Black Forest Cake; chocolate and cherries, packed into a yummy cookie.
Ingredients
- 1 .5 oz chocolate chip cookie mix bag
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
- 2 large egg
- 1/2 cup butter salted, softened
- 1 cup dried cherry chopped
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ΒΊ F. and line two large cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cookie mix and cocoa powder until combined.
- Using a hand or stand mixer, beat in the large eggs and butter until a thick but soft dough forms. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula as necessary to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Fold the dried cherries, white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips into the dough.
- Use a 1 1β2 Tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop out the dough and roll into balls.
- Place the cookie balls evenly across the cookie sheet, about 1-2 inches apart from each other and the sides.
- Bake for 8-11 minutes or until the edges are set and the middle no longer looks wet.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before moving to a rack to cool completely or serving warm.
