Black Sesame Chahan 黒胡麻チャーハン
Black sesame Chahan is Japanese fried rice cooked with a lot of black sesame seeds which has health and nutritious benefits.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice cooked
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise 1, Japanese
- 2 egg
- ½ tbs olive oil
- ½ tbs sesame oil
- 2 lices Bacon 2, rindless
- 3 tbs black sesame grinded
- 1/2 tbs soy sauce
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- 3 tbs green shallots finely chopped
Instructions
- Mix mayonnaise into the rice and set aside.
- Grind the sesame seeds and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan and make scrambled egg.
- Take the scrambled eggs and set aside.
- Heat the same frying pan, wipe off excess olive oil, and add sesame oil.
- Add the rice and egg and mix and fry all together.
- Add grinded black sesame seeds and finely chopped scallions.
- Pour the soy sauce over and continue to stir and turn over constantly with a spatula.
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Serve in rice bowls or plates and garnish with more shallots.

- *1 I used store bought Kewpie mayonnaise but if you don't access to it, there is Japanese mayonnaise in this recipe
- *2 I did not use bacon for this update post to make it vegetarian.
