Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blackberries ~12-16 berries
- 1 lemon juiced
- 10 mint leaves
- 1 ½ oz simple syrup
- ¾ cup ice
- 4 oz bourbon
- 4 oz ginger beer
Instructions
- Add the blackberries (keep a few for garnish), mint leaves, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Muddle them until the blackberries are almost completely juiced and mint is crushed.
- Pour the ice and the bourbon into the cocktail shaker. *Note: if you prefer a stronger cocktail, add an additional ounce of bourbon. Shake vigorously. Also, strain the mixture if you prefer a smoother beverage.
- Fill a rocks glass with ice (I like to have premade large ice cubes on hand). Divide the cocktail into two glasses and top with desired amount of ginger beer. Enjoy!
