Blackberry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar +2 tbsp
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups blackberries fresh or frozen
  • Whipped cream or ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Add flour, milk and one cup of sugar to a medium bowl and whisk until combined. Mix in melted butter.
  3. Pour batter into a sprayed and buttered 9x13 baking dish. Drop blackberries (rinsed and dried) evenly over the top of the batter. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the blackberries.
  4. Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 1 hour. When 10 minutes of the cooking time remains, sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar over the top. Top with whipped cream or ice cream . . . or both!
