Blackberry Margarita

A margarita variation blended with fresh blackberries.

Ingredients

  • coarse salt
  • 2 pints blackberries
  • 1 Cup tequila
  • 1/2 Cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 Cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 Cup simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 Cups ice
  • 1 lime sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle a layer of coarse salt on a plate. Take six glasses and dip the rims in a shallow dish of water, then into the salt. Set side.
  2. Add the blackberries, tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to a blender. (If serving on the rocks, do not add the ice!) Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into your margarita glasses and garnish with a lime wheel and a blackberry on a bamboo skewer. Serve immediately.
