Blackberry Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup blackberry fresh or frozen

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine the sugar and water in a small pot over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved in the water. Do not let boil.
  2. Add the blackberries and cook for a minute or so. Turn off the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  3. Strain the blackberry syrup into a clean glass jar.

Notes

  • This blackberry simple syrup recipe will make about 1.5 cups of blackberry syrup.
  • Strained blackberries are delicious with yogurt or ice cream, or just eat them plain with a spoon!
