Blackberry Simple Syrup

This Blackberry Simple Syrup blends fresh blackberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice cooked together to extract berry flavor. The cooked mixture is mashed and then strained to produce a smooth, richly flavored syrup. It's stored refrigerated and used to sweeten drinks or desserts with fresh blackberry essence and balanced acidity from lemon juice.
