  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 lices fresh ginger
  • 4 green cardamom pods crushed so that they're slightly open
Blood Orange Lemonade
  • ¾ cup blood orange juice

  • Blood orange slices, lemon slices, and cinnamon sticks to garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add the water, honey, cinnamon stick, ginger, and cardamom pods to a small pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool for 5 minutes then strain it through a fine-mesh sieve.
  2. Add the honey syrup, blood orange juice, lemon juice, and water to a large pitcher and stir well.
  3. When you're ready to serve it, add ice and slices of blood oranges and lemon to the pitcher. Pour it into tall glasses and garnish it with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

  • If you don't have all the spices, you can either omit them or use the ones that you have.
