Blood Orange Ritz Old Fashioned

A twist on the classic Old Fashioned with blood orange juice

Ingredients

  • 60 ml blood orange juice or lemon juice, freshly squeezed, 1/4 cup
  • 60 ml bourbon 1/4 cup
  • 2 tbsp Grand Marnier
  • Angostura bitters dash
  • 4 maraschino cherries (cocktail cherries) to decorate
  • blood orange rind to decorate
  • granulated sugar to frost glasses

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Wipe the rim of two rocks glasses with a slice of orange or lemon and dip into a shallow plate filled with sugar to frost (optional).
  2. Thread the cherries and a blood orange rind into two cocktail sticks to use as garnish.
  3. Pour the juice, bourbon and Grand Marnier into a mixing jug or shaker filled with ice. Stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the two prepared glasses and add ice.
  5. Add a dash of bitters and decorated with the cherries. Cheers!
