Blue Cheese Dressing

This blue cheese dressing is the perfect dip or dressing for chicken wings, dipping carrots, or drizzling over salad!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅓ cup crumbled blue cheese divided
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons milk or buttermilk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives optional

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, and half of the blue cheese. Pulse until smooth.
  2. Finely crumble the remaining blue cheese and add it to the dressing with chives if using.
  3. Stir in milk, a tablespoon at a time, to the desired consistency. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
  4. Store in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

Notes

  • If you don't have a blender/food processor, the mixture can be placed in a bowl and mixed with a hand mixer or a spoon, slightly mashing the blue cheese while stirring.
  • Lemon juice can be replaced with white wine vinegar. 
  • Nutrition information is for 1 tablespoon of dressing.
