Blue Spirulina Smoothie

You will love this creamy delicious blue spirulina powder smoothie with no banana! It is great as part of a healthy breakfast routine or post-workout meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen avocado
  • 1 teaspoon blue spirulina powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or preferred low-carb sweetener

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed smoothie blender and process until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour the blue spirulina smoothie into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings (chocolate nibs, chopped nuts, sliced fruit - feel free to use your creativity)! Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Other healthy and yummy ingredients that you can add to this smoothie include:
  • Your favourite frozen fruit such as frozen mango, pineapple and banana.
  • Add a tablespoon of protein powder, alternatively, collagen for the whole 30 and paleo diets.
  • Stir in different seeds - chia seeds, hemp seeds, or sesame seeds.
  • Make your smoothie extra creamy by adding your favourite nut butter (such as peanut, cashew, or almond butter).
