Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana , sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the blueberries, bananas, orange juice, milk, and ground flax seeds. Secure the lid and blend until smooth.
  2. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the blender and make sure no chunks are remaining. Taste the smoothie and make any adjustments, as needed. (Add a scoop of protein powder or a handful of spinach, if desired.)
  3. Serve it right away for the best taste and texture. Leftovers can be poured into a popsicle mold and frozen for a treat later.

Notes

  • Nutrition information is for half the batch. This information is automatically calculated and is just an estimate, not a guarantee.
  • Note: Make sure you use an orange juice you love for the best flavor. (I like Whole Foods' 365 brand.) For a lower sugar option, you can use more milk as a swap, but the smoothie will not taste nearly as delicious.
