Ingredients

  • 8 canned biscuits
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling 15 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For optional glaze
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Spray a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters and put them in the baking dish.
  3. Add the cinnamon and stir to coat the biscuits.
  4. Pour the blueberry pie filling over the biscuits.
  5. Bake at 370 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Mix the powdered sugar with the milk in a small bowl. Drizzle the glaze over the blueberry bubble up.

Notes

  • For a fluffier texture, go for the homestyle or buttermilk varieties. They hold up well to the pie filling.
  • Add a teaspoon of lemon zest or vanilla extract to your blueberry pie filling for an extra zing or a hint of warmth.
  • The dessert is done when it is golden-brown top and has bubbles around the edges. The center should be set and not jiggly.
  • You can use different pie fillings, like cherry, apple or mixed berry.
