Blueberry Milkshake Recipe
The Blueberry Milkshake blends milk, frozen blueberries, vanilla ice cream, and honey into a creamy and smooth treat. Using frozen blueberries thickens the shake and integrates the berry flavor evenly. The mixture balances the sweetness from honey and the richness of vanilla ice cream, resulting in a flavorful dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cups milk
- 1 ½ cups blueberries see notes, frozen
- 1 ½ cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon honey or another sweetener
Instructions
- Pour the milk into your blender jar, followed by the blueberries, honey and ice cream.
- Start the blender on low speed and gradually increase to high speed. Blend until the blueberries are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Give the milkshake a quick taste and adjust the sweetness or thickness as needed. Add more honey for extra sweetness, or more ice cream for a thicker consistency.
- Pour the blueberry milkshake into glasses and enjoy!
Notes
- Frozen blueberries create a creamier shake than fresh ones because they blend more smoothly.
- You can use whole milk, skim milk, almond, or soy milk; whole milk adds more richness.
- Adjust the thickness by adding more ice cream to thicken or more milk to thin the milkshake.
- Use a quality vanilla ice cream for the best flavor outcome.
