Blueberry Smoothie
This Blueberry Smoothie combines almond milk, blueberries, and your choice of protein powder or Greek yogurt to create a creamy and refreshing drink. Using frozen blueberries gives it a chilled, thicker texture, but fresh berries can be used with added ice for balance. The optional maple syrup lets you adjust sweetness to taste while keeping the flavor light and fresh.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk or other milk (see note 1)
- 1 cup blueberries see note 2, frozen
- 1 coop protein powder or ½ cup Greek yogurt (see note 3)
- maple syrup to taste, optional (see note 4)
Instructions
- In the bottom of a blender, add almond milk, blueberries, and protein powder or Greek yogurt. Blend until smooth. Taste and add maple syrup if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh blueberries by adding ½ cup or more ice to keep the smoothie cold and thick.
- Use your choice of milk, including cow's milk or non-dairy alternatives like oat, soy, or cashew milk.
- Opt for vanilla protein powder or Greek yogurt; taste the smoothie before adding sweeteners as some flavors already add sweetness.
- Store leftover smoothie refrigerated and shake well before drinking if separation occurs.
