Ingredients

  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pound chicken breasts boneless and skinless, cut into 1/2-inch strips

  1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  3. Dip chicken strips into the egg mixture and then into the flour mixture to coat them twice. Chill the coated chicken in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. Fry the chicken in batches to avoid overcrowding, for 5-6 minutes, or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Toss the fried chicken in your favorite wing sauce and serve immediately.
