Braised Pork Belly Bento

Easy bento idea, braised pork belly bento with tomatoes, tamagoyaki, and furikake over rice. Cook the Pork Belly for a diner and pack it for a lunch!

Ingredients

  • cooked Japanese short-grain rice
  • Braised Pork Belly (Kakuni)
  • Tamagoyaki (Japanese Rolled Omelette)
  • broccoli (pre-blanched)
  • tomatoes
  • furikake (rice seasoning)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Fill up half of the bento box with Japanese rice. Let it cool so that hot/warm rice will not warm up other cool food.
  2. Reheat leftover braised pork belly in a frying pan until it's warm thoroughly. Let cool completely.
  3. Pack cooled braised pork belly in a silicone cup and put in the bento box.
  4. Put tamagoyaki and broccoli in the bento box.
  5. Wash tomatoes and pat dry. Place nicely in the bento box.
  6. Sprinkle furikake on top of rice.
  7. Cool down completely before closing the bento box.
