Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter cooled, brown
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 /2 cup oats quick-cooking
  • 1 teaspoon salt sea salt
  • 3/4 /4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 dark chocolate about 4.5 ounces, bars broken into chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  2. Whisk together sugars and gradually add in brown butter. Mix until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix until well-combined. Add flour, oats, sea salt, and baking soda to butter mixture.
  4. Mix well and then stir in chocolate chunks. Scoop chocolate chip cookie dough onto a cookie sheet spacing well apart to allow room for the cookie to spread lightly.
  5. Bake for about 8 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
