- 450 grams butter softened (2 cups)
- 200 grams brown sugar 1 cup
- 480 grams all purpose flour 4 cups
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together.
- Add the flour and mix well.
- Dust some flour on a working surface and knead for 3-4 minutes.
- Roll the shortbread dough to 1/2 inch in thickness.
- Cut into 3-inch by 1-inch strips. Place on lined baking pan about 1 inch apart.
- Prick the top of the cookie dough with a fork.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until cookies is lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle some sugar over the top.
