Ingredients

Brownie Batter Swirl:
  • 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chip 12 grams
  • 1 Medjool date pits removed and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder unsweetened; 2 grams
  • 1 tablespoon tahini 15 milliliters
  • Pinch salt sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2-2 tablespoon almond milk 7-30 milliliters
Smoothie:
  • 1/2 cup almond milk 120 milliliters
  • 1 banana large
  • 1 packet stevia or 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch salt sea salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate sprinkles for topping

Instructions

To make the brownie batter:

  1. In a small microwave-safe, bowl, heat the chocolate chips in the microwave in 15 second increments, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth.
  2. Mash in the date using a fork.
  3. Whisk in the cocoa powder, tahini, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly whisk in the almond milk to create a batter-like consistency.
To make the smoothie:
  1. In a blender, add the almond milk, banana, stevia, salt, vanilla extract, and vanilla bean paste.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the smoothie into a serving glass and swirl in the brownie batter.
  4. Serve immediately topped with sprinkles.
