Ingredients
- 4 lices Bacon
- 1 1/2 lbs Brussels sprouts ends trimmed and cut in half
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 to 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- salt to taste, Kosher salt
- black pepper to taste, Kosher salt
Instructions
- In a large cast iron skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Don’t drain the bacon grease.
- In the same pan with bacon grease, melt the butter over medium high heat. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, until sprouts are golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. You want them to be slightly crisp and tender, not mushy.
- Chop up the cooked bacon strips and add the bacon to the pan. Drizzle with maple syrup and stir. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
