Buffalo Chicken Dip
Buffalo Chicken Dip blends shredded rotisserie chicken with cream cheese, hot sauce, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing powder, and minced garlic, baked until hot and bubbly. The dip features creamy, spicy, and tangy flavors with melted cheese and a smooth, spreadable texture, suitable for serving warm with chips or crackers for dipping or spreading.
Ingredients
- 1 rotisserie chicken small; shredded
- 8 oz cream cheese block; room temperature
- ½ cup hot sauce
- 1 Cup mayonnaise
- 1 Cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 ranch dressing powder Hidden Valley brand; pack
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375
- Shred the chicken
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl and pour into an oven proof dish (about 9x9 is right).
- Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then serve with chips for dipping or spread on crackers.
Notes
- Additions like chopped tomato, bacon, chives, black olives, or sun-dried tomatoes can enhance flavor.
- For a layered presentation, mix chicken with hot sauce and put it in the dish first, spread softened cream cheese mixed with ranch powder on top, then add cheese before baking.
- To prepare for larger groups, this dip can be made in a crockpot over 6 hours on low heat.
- Substitute low-fat, vegan, or olive oil mayonnaise if preferred.
- You can use canned drained chicken or cooked shredded chicken breasts as alternatives to rotisserie chicken.
- Blue cheese crumbles may be added along with ranch dressing powder for a different flavor.
- Try sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese to vary the cheese flavor.
