Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken breast
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • ¾ Cup Buffalo Sauce or Hot Sauce such as Frank's
  • 1.5 Cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • ½ Cup blue cheese dressing
  • ½ package wonton wrappers

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Bake or boil the chicken breast until cooked through. For a little extra spice, dust it with some Cajun seasoning.
  2. Shred the chicken into a bowl and then combine with the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, hot sauce and blue cheese dressing.
  3. Warm the mixture in a small pot or crock pot and mix to combine and to melt all of the cheese. After mixing refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours to chill.
  4. Place the wonton wrappers on a piece of parchment paper. Add a heaping teaspoon of the buffalo chicken dip to the center of the wonton wrappers.
  5. Fold the wonton wrappers into a triangle then bring the corners of the base of the triangle to complete forming your wontons.
  6. Preheat your oil in a pan of fryer to 350 degrees. Working in batches, fry the wontons in the oil for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a plate or pan lined with paper towels and allow to drain.
  7. Move the cooked Buffalo Chicken Wontons to a serving plate and drizzle with a little extra buffalo sauce and sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles. Serve warm.
