Bulletproof Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black coffee
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • Optional - sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Brew coffee as usual.
  2. To prevent the blender jug from breaking from the hot coffee, preheat it by placing hot water in it while the coffee brews. Discard water before blending the bulletproof coffee.
  3. Place the brewed coffee and coconut oil in the blender and blend until there is a foamy layer on top.
  4. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • A blender is the best way to combine the coffee and oil, but you can also use a hand whisk.
  • Warm your blender jug with warm water before adding the coffee so that it doesn't crack.
  • You can also use several different healthy fats in bulletproof coffee - MCT oil, peanut butter, coconut oil
