Ingredients
- ¼ cup butternut squash puree
- 4 egg large
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch salt
- vegetable oil
- 8 lices bread your favorite; I used Challah
Instructions
- In a bowl large enough to dip the bread, whisk together 1/4 cup Butternut Squash Puree, 4 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the skillet.
- Dip the bread into the egg mixture one piece at a time, being sure to coat each side. Place the coated bread into the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side. About 3-4 minutes per side. Continue cooking the coated bread slices in this manner until all are cooked through.
- Serve with pure maple syrup and enjoy!
