Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes chopped
  • 1/2 small cabbage head shredded
  • 1 lb bone-in meat pork or beef
  • 2 tbsp Beef Better Than Bullion Beef Base
  • 2 tbsp oil avocado or olive
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 large carrot grated
  • 10 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces. Shred the cabbage.
  2. Rinse the meat under cold water. In a large soup pot, bring 4 quarts of water to boil. Add the meat and Better Than Bouillon Beef Base and cook for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the potatoes and cabbage, simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Chop the onion, and grate the carrot. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions with a little bit of oil until golden brown. Add the shredded carrot and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the can of diced tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the meat pieces from the soup. Add the meat back into the soup, discard of the bone.
  6. Season to taste with salt. Serve immediately and enjoy!
