Ingredients
- 1 pound Shrimp large, peeled and deveined, tails removed
- vegetable oil about 2 quarts, for frying
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 3 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs plain
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Add enough vegetable oil for frying to a large saucepan to fill it at least ½-inch up the sides, about 2 quarts of oil. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
- In another small bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs and 2 tablespoons milk. In a third small bowl, combine 1 cup plain Panko breadcrumbs , 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning, and 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning.
- Dredge 1 pound peeled and deveined large shrimp with tails removed in the flour mixture, followed by the egg mixture, and lastly in the panko mixture.
- Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in 2-3 batches and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain while you finish frying the remaining shrimp. Serve immediately.
