Cake Balls Recipe

This easy cake balls recipe is delicious for any occasion and the perfect balance of cake + frosting in every bite! Great to make with kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Funfetti Cake Mix see note
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting white
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips melted
  • 3 tablespoons neutral cooking oil coconut or vegetable or canola, generic cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the boxed cake mix per the instructions for a 9x13 pan.
  2. Allow the cake to cool.
  3. Crumble cake into a large bowl.
  4. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
  5. Scoop rounded tablespoons onto a lined cookie sheet.
  6. Melt chocolate with oil in 30-second increments in the microwave until the chocolate is almost all melted. Stir to completely melt.
  7. Dip each cake ball in the chocolate, tapping the excess off.
  8. Sprinkle, if desired.
  9. Allow to set in the fridge.
