Ingredients
Red Velvet Donuts
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 13.25 ounces red velvet cake mix (1 box)
Cream Cheese Glaze
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Sprinkles for topping (optional)
Instructions
Donuts
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Gread a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the milk, and then whisk in the beaten eggs. Whisk in cake mix until the batter is smooth and combined.
- Pour the donut batter into the prepared pan so each cavity is full. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the donuts from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack. Cool them completely.

Glaze
- Add the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk to a medium mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat everything together until the glaze is smooth and fluffy.
- Dip the top of each donut into the cream cheese glaze. Place the donuts back onto the wire rack and top with sprinkles, if desired, before serving.
Notes
- If you prefer to use a mini donut pan, adjust the cooking time down to 8-10 minutes. A mini donut pan will yield around 4 dozen donuts.
