Candied Bacon Goat Cheese Blueberry Grilled Cheese

Brown sugar candied bacon, fresh blueberries and creamy goat cheese are combined in this decadent, gluten free Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe!

Ingredients

  • 6 lices Bacon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 6 lices cinnamon raisin bread gluten free
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp goat cheese
  • ¼ cup blueberries fresh

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Place the bacon and brown sugar in a plastic bag.
  3. Toss to coat.
  4. Lay the bacon strips across a wire rack on top of a baking sheet.
  5. Place in the oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the bacon from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, begin preparing the sandwiches.
  8. Place ½ tbsp of butter on each side of bread.
  9. Flip the bread and place ½ tbsp of goat cheese on the other side of the bread.
  10. Place 2 strips of bacon on one side of the bread and a few blueberries on the other side.
  11. Sandwich together and place in a skillet over medium heat.
  12. Cook for 5 minutes per side or until the bread is browned.
