Candied Pecans

This classic Candied Pecans recipe is a great addition to your Holiday festivities. Great as a snack, on salads, as part of a charcuterie board, or as a homemade gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white slightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground clove
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250° F.
  2. Line 1 large or 2 small baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  3. In large bowl, whisk egg white and water.
  4. Add pecans to bowl and stir to coat thoroughly.
  5. In a separate bowl combine sugar, clove, allspice, cinnamon and salt.
  6. Sprinkle sugar and spice mixture over pecans and stir to coat thoroughly.
  7. Spread evenly on baking sheet(s).
  8. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  9. Immediately loosen pecans from baking sheets by shaking or using a spatula.
  10. Allow to completely cool and store in an airtight container.
