Cape Cod Drink (a.k.a Cape Codder, Cranberry Vodka)
Make the ultimate Cape Cod drink (a.k.a Cape Codder or simply Cranberry Vodka) using your own homemade cranberry infused vodka! This garnet-hued vodka is perfect for sipping on its own or mixing in cocktails and it makes the perfect gift for cocktail lovers.
Ingredients
For the Cranberry Infused Vodka
- 1 vodka bottle
- 3 cups cranberries or frozen and thawed, fresh, 340 g
- ¼ cup simple syrup 60 ml

- ¼ cup vodka or cranberry infused vodka, 60 ml
- ½ cup cranberry juice 120 ml
- 2 tbsp lime juice or more, to taste, fresh

Cape Cod Pitcher (serves 8)
- 2 cups vodka or cranberry infused vodka, 480 ml
- 4 cups cranberry juice 960 ml
- ½ cup lime juice fresh, 120 ml

Instructions
Cranberry Infused Vodka
- Put the cranberries in a large bowl (or in your jar if it has a wide mouth) and muddle using a potato masher or a muddler. You want to lightly smash them.
- Transfer to your clean jar and add the simple syrup. Stir well.
- Pour the entire bottle of vodka over the cranberries and seal the jar. Reserve the empty vodka bottle if you wish to use again.
- Put the jar in a dark cool place for two weeks, turning it over once or twice if you remember.
- Strain the vodka using a fine-mesh strainer (or cheesecloth) and then transfer into the bottle using a funnel. Store in the fridge.
Cape Cod Drink (for one)
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Pour the vodka (or cranberry infused vodka) over the ice.
- Add the cranberry juice and fresh lime juice. Have a taste and adjust if needed.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries or a lime wedge.
Cape Cod Pitcher
- Combine the vodka, cranberry and lime juices in a large pitcher and chill until ready to serve.
