Caprese Flatbread
Light and fresh, this Caprese flatbread is the perfect appetizer for any Italian-inspired meal! It’s topped with melty mozzarella, fresh herbs and veggies, and topped off with a mouthwatering balsamic glaze!
Ingredients
- 1 flatbread store-bought
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese sliced or torn, fresh
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning dried
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- basil fresh leaves
- 2 teaspoon balsamic glaze for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place the flatbread on the prepared pan.
- Brush the olive oil on the flatbread. Make sure to cover the entire flatbread by brushing the olive oil all the way out to the edges.
- Evenly spread minced garlic over the olive oil.
- Next, top the flatbread with fresh mozzarella that has been torn or sliced.
- Layer on the halved grape tomatoes, and sprinkle on the Italian seasonings.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the crust start to get dark golden brown.
- Feel free to broil for 1-2 minutes additional minutes if you want to crisp up the flatbread. Just be careful to watch it closely.
- Top the pizza with fresh basil. Season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Enjoy!
